Our employees are the key ingredient to our success. We employ around 2,500 members of staff and have a diverse workforce, made up of 40 nationalities. We also use two partner agencies to supplement the Oscar Mayer workforce.
Adding Zing to our workplace
We operate an employee awards programme called Zing. It gives all our staff access to savings and special offers from a huge range of retailers, like Asos, Samsung and Virgin Atlantic. Zing offers discounted gift cards that staff can buy too. Employees can also benefit from local deals near our sites, offered exclusively to our staff.
Oscar Mayer employees also have access to a Bupa Cash Plan, a company-funded benefit for staff who have been with us for at least three months. And that’s not all. We operate a Refer A Friend Scheme, offer a £100 bonus for new starters, and have a Buddy Scheme, with a monetary thank you for supporting a team member.
The Oscar Mayer Awards
In 2020, we launched our Oscar Mayer Awards recognition scheme at one of our sites. It’s designed to recognise team members who go above and beyond the call of duty. They can be nominated by anyone in the business and a winner is chosen every month. The scheme will be rolled out across all our sites soon.
Creating positive change
Members of staff can volunteer to join the Works Council, Food Safety Group, or Health & Safety Committee (or even all three!). All the groups meet regularly and make important, lasting change at Oscar Mayer.
